Gut Renovation of Two-Family Harlem Brownstone

The owners of this Harlem townhouse came to us help them realize their dream home in what was then a blown-out brownstone shell.  The gutted interiors suited the clients well because they wanted to have a thoroughly modern home – both in amenities and aesthetics.   The owners had very clear ideas of how their dream would work and look, and sought our expertise and experience to bring this dream to life.

The clients’ modern tastes were put to their most dramatic expression in the almost complete removal of the original brick rear wall of the building and its replacement with an open and bright glass wall and window system.  Contemporary finishes, materials and detailing can be seen throughout the home, making a comfortable, livable city home.
